Frequently Asked Questions
5-axis machining is well suited to parts with multiple machined faces, compound angles, curved surfaces, deep features or difficult tool access. It can reduce setups and repositioning, making it particularly useful when feature alignment across multiple faces is critical
Critical dimensions, datums and GD&T requirements are reviewed during the engineering stage. Where practical, machining multiple related features with fewer setups helps reduce datum transfer and setup variation. Final inspection is performed against the specified drawing requirements.
We support commonly machined metals and engineering plastics, including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, brass, copper, PEEK, POM and Nylon. Material selection is evaluated according to geometry, tolerance, mechanical requirements and application.
A 2D engineering drawing and 3D CAD model are preferred for complex parts. Material, quantity, critical tolerances, surface finish, heat treatment and other functional requirements should also be provided when applicable. This allows the machining process and manufacturability to be evaluated more accurately.
Inspection is based on the critical features and requirements defined on the drawing, including dimensions, hole locations, geometric tolerances and surface requirements. The inspection method is selected according to part geometry and the required measurement accuracy.
Yes. We support prototype, low-volume and repeat production according to part complexity, material and quantity requirements. MOQ and production planning are evaluated on a project-by-project basis rather than applying a fixed quantity to every part.
Depending on the material and application, finishing options may include anodizing, hard anodizing, polishing, sandblasting, passivation, black oxide and plating. Heat treatment and other secondary processes can also be specified according to the part requirements.
Cost and lead time depend on part geometry, material, tolerance requirements, machining strategy, quantity, surface finish and inspection requirements. Providing complete drawings and CAD data at the quotation stage helps reduce engineering clarification and supports a more accurate quotation.
